The aim of the Aurora Foundation Ltd is to develop leadership capacity in the library and information management professions in Australia and New Zealand by developing and providing innovative and challenging programs. The Foundation was established in 2001 by the late Warren Horton AM, former Director-General of the National Library of Australia.

The 2014 Aurora Institute for Emerging Leaders: APPLICATIONS HAVE CLOSED. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL FRIDAY 11th APRIL. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU ANTICIPATE REGISTERING A LATE APPLICATION.
This new leadership program is for those who have been identified as potential leaders by their own organisation and have had two years experience in a supervisory or management role. With the increasing inter relationship of the library, information and cultural industries the program will appeal to a wide range of organisations including libraries, galleries, museums, archives, records management.
